I’ve been a dyed in the fur cat lady since the day I could mutter the word kitty. And I often post pics of my frisky felines to my Facebook page. The other day, the lovely Sarah Smith suggested I should dedicate a day to cats, and that’s just what I’m doing! This is kinda pic heavy and I want to see your kitties too!
The lovely Mr Pyjamas (Jarms or Jarmies for short) is the black and white boy you’ll see the most. He’s such a sook and follows me like a dog, even running to greet me at the door. He was a rescue, as all my cats have been. He was 3wks old, flea ridden and malnourished and found roaming the grounds of a frozen food storage facility on the edge of town. He grew from a tiny thing to a hefty 12kg! He is not overweight but he’s a huge cat, bigger than Mummy Asks dog by quite a bit!
Doris is a more elusive cat and she refuses to stay still for photographic purposes! She is still pretty much a feral cat after 9yrs in my loving care. She hates everyone except myself and Mummy Ask, who is her fave person in the whole world. She is so intent on having Mummy Asks full attention that she often swipes Mums little dog Fang! She came to me via The Bestie, Doris was about 12mths and was living under a van. It took 5 adults 3 days to capture her so I could bring her home. And I’m so glad they did!
Of course there was also the lovely Charlie cat who passed away a year ago. You can read about her here. And I think every cat owner feels this way…..
And it’s worth mentioning that I made the quite silly video about hugging a cat. It was after I’d overdosed on sewing how to vids so it’s in that sort of format.
Now, I want to hear all about your feline companions. Show all of your cat pics and regale me with tales of their catty adventures by posting them to my Facebook page. Even if you missed Cat Lady Day, post them anyway! I can’t wait to see a cat filled Facebook wall, so get posting! I will start you off with my darling Kyras candid pic of her cutie of a cat Tubby Taylor…….
