As I promised in my Me Made May pledge post, I will be sharing my outfits each week. Feel free to check out week one and week two. So, let’s hop straight into week two…………..
[break]
I spent today finalizing the launch of the new ASG industry partners program. It was definitely a Woohoo moment! In between I finished sewing up a skirt from my UFO (un-finished objects) pile.
[break]
It was warm enough to have all the windows open today and I flounced about barefoot in the MMM slip dress. I haven’t blogged it but I used the same pattern as my gold lace dress.

Day 17 – Yay for Saturday!
[break]
Mr Ask and I spend the day chilling out and then decided to go on one of our drives in the evening. I wore this MMM 70’s skirt, it’s one of my finished May projects (more on that coming soon). Just a black crossover tee and black leggings to finish the look.

Day 18 – Mum Tech
[break]
Mr Ask and I headed off to Mummy Asks to sort out some tech issues. Now I know today’s outfit & yesterday’s look the same but not quite! I had to show of my recently finished things to Mummy Ask! Today I am wearing black tights, that 70’s skirt and a recently finished lace back sweater refashion. For full details of the sweater, see this tutorial!

Day 19 – Naughty Sewing!
[break]
I should be doing housework today (I vaguely remember making promises about doing the washing & maybe making a cake…) but I sewing accidentally happened! I did get to a couple of errands before I started.
[break]
Today’s MMM was my spotty Tiramisu dress, worn with black & white ballet flats. I adore stretchy dresses, they are easy to wear and still look pulled together!

Day 20 – Hand Holding
[break]
Poor Mummy Ask had an urgent dental issue, so I offered to go along and hold her hand! I wore my skinny leg jeans and this beaten up old tee with my MMM item, my Carmine jacket.
[break]
The dentist is always icky. Mum ended up starting a root canal that might not work. Even thought we know we have crap teeth, this comes as a blow. Got any dental stories?

Day 21 – Blogging & Baking
[break]
I had such a nice, low key day! I cleaned up my blog and prepped a few posts. I was slouching around in this bright MMM pajama and singlet combo. Both were drafted from RTW and haven’t been blogged.
[break]
I also baked a delicious cake! A few days later than I promised Mr Ask but hey! It’s a take on a childhood favorite. What’s your fave cake?

Day 22 – Photo shoot
[break]
Today I’m taking pics of my friend & fellow Guild member Teresa for an upcoming ASG project. Today’s MMM items are this cherry print stretch skirt (tutorial here) and this embellished tee (tutorial coming soon).
[break]
It’s always so nice to take outfit pics with friends! It makes it easier to smile and you don’t have to fiddle with tripods and timers/remotes. Do you have any tricks for getting the perfect pic?

That spotted dress is amazing! I think it’s fantastic that you can wear so many of your handmade things on a regular basis – it’s such an inspiration.
Also: hi! I can’t remember how I found your blog but I’m having fun reading about your sewing and creative adventures.
Hi Katie!
I’m so glad you are having fun here. I wear my made creations often. Part of the stretch of MMM is pulling out the ones I haven’t worn for a while. I hardly wear one of the tops I wore this month because it has flappy facings. Last time I wore it, I didn’t know how to fix that but now I do!
I love it to, I am a size 18 and I love vintage clothing but find it difficult to find nice pieces that look flattering on my body type. I love that you are confident in yourself and it reflects in the pieces that you wear. I am a confident person as well, but don’t always feel the clothing I like fits my body shape. Your blog and photo’s show me that we can still wear vintage clothing that can show off our voluptuous curves. Love it and keep it up.
Thank you! I started sewing because I was unhappy with the clothes I could buy in my size (AU18-20). You can definitely find vintagey pieces but if you don’t sew (or want to learn) find someone who can tailor your clothes. Even the smallest adjustments can really have an impact on the overall fit and how it flatters.
I have a love/hate relationship with my photos but overall it has really helped my self esteem. It’s lovely to hear that you get something out of them too! I have linked to some posts you might like below.

Hi Sarah,
I am an experienced leather lounge suite sewing machinist so I am very familiar with a sewing machinist. I do have one at home but don’t have the time or space to use it at the moment. I have been looking at many people like yourself who change a garment or piece a little to make it there own and I love that. I have just purchased some vintage hankies that need to be embroidered in their original packets with the threads and instructions. I am in love with vintage cardigans at the moment and hope to somehow at a touch of this embroidery to it and that will make it unique and mine. I love reading your blogs and enjoy and look forward to what you have next. I looked at all your links above and found so much that resonates with me.
Thanks for inspiring me
