As I promised in my Me Made May pledge post, I will be sharing my outfits each week. So, let’s hop straight into week one…………..
Day 1 – Blogging & Sewing in my PJ’s
[break]
I would love to start MMM with an exciting outfit but I really am in my PJ’s!
[break]
Today’s MMM item is this pink, slouchy top. It’s made of a sweater knit from Girl Charlee and copied from RTW. I made it in less than an hour, an it’s very roughly finished. It was always going to be worn as pjs and I wanted it to look unstructured. It’s paired with a grey RTW tank and my beloved cat pants, both from Target.

Day 2 – Errands and ASG Admin
[break]
Today’s MMM item is this leopard print Tiramisu dress. It’s made of sweater knit, so it’s perfect for cooler weather. I paired it with black opaque tights, shoefull of sugar shoes from Modcloth and black RTW cardi from Target. I also have my red & black leopard print umbrella with me!

Fun fact: I got married on the rainiest day in 50yrs and today’s heavy rain reminds me of holding my husbands hand, running down the city streets in my wedding dress! Yes, it was just as romantic as it sounds!

Day 3 – Relaxing at Home
[break]
Today’s MMM garment is a refashioned tee, with this cute anchor appliqué. I will be blogging this soon but I used a very similar process to the one I used on my cat cushions. I paired this tee with my trusty RTW high waist, skinny leg jeans and a pair of stripey, grey hoodies for feet.
[break]
I finally caught up on some reading and spent the some time on Pinterest. Mr Ask played video games and made Bikesmad, a traditional Danish dish from his childhood, I will eventually post the recipe…..

Day 4 – Off to Market
[break]
Heading out with Mummy Ask to the Flinders St Market to say Hi to my friend Juanita, who is holding a stall there for the first time. Today’s MMM item is this simple skirt, it was one of my very first makes but still a fave. I teamed it with this black RTW tee that embellished with this cherry appliqué. It will be blogged soon with yesterday’s anchor tee. I love these comfy Keds wedges, they are a winter fave.
[break]
I’m experimenting with wearing bright/light skirts with black or navy tights. Is it working?

Day 5 – Emails & Tidying my fabric
[break]
Today’s MMM items are this bright orange and lime green singlet drafted from RTW and my pink slouchy top from Day 1. I love this loud colour combo and it’s nice and comfy. I paired these tops with my trusty, high waist, skinny jeans and my hoodies for feet.

Has anyone had experience dyeing wool/spandex jersey? I’m thinking of dyeing some wool jersey that arrived today.

Day 6 – Lunch with the girls
[break]
Today’s MMM item is my Tiramisu tee with black wide leg pants that I thrifted and altered to fit. I had Juanita & Miriam over for lunch today! Both of them are sewing bloggers and both came in lovely me made dresses! We had such a wonderful time catching up.
[break]
I made risotto and palmiers (the recipes should be up next week) and got out Grans floral tea cups – fabulously girly!

Day 7 – Photo shoot
[break]
I’m off to take some pics of a local sewing shop for the ASG blog (yes, I write for them too!). Today’s MMM item is this reversible wrap skirt I made ages ago, blogged here. I paired it with this RTW wrap top I’ve had for so long, that every time I wear it, I expect it to fall apart! I love the colour pop from this cardi from Target and these fab shoes I bought on eBay. My stunning necklace was made by my friend Juanita – Thank you Sweetie!

Day 8 – Sewing & Spreadsheets
[break]
I am assisting Mummy Ask sew her dressing gown while I work on some spreadsheets for ASG. Thrilling stuff, no? I was going for comfort so today’s MMM item is this surplice dress, the pattern was part of the Sewing with Knits course on Craftsy. I added black RTW leggings and my yellow cardi for warmth and yellow pineapple ballet flats for comfort.
[break]
The pattern on this dress has always reminded me of cotton reels and I often wear it when I’m sewing. This is the first time that I used clear elastic as a neckline finish and coincidentally, Mummy Ask is using this technique for the first time today!
