Summary: As a ardent lover of bread, cheese all vegetables, this made me really happy! I was in the mood for baking but cupcakes aren’t a balanced meal. I considered broccoli cheese but still wanted some sort of baked good. This bread was just what I was looking for. I used mostly Parmesan & a little sharp cheddar in mine but of course you can use what you like. If you have some pre made pizza or bread dough, use that instead. You may need to adjust the amount of filling to suit the amount of dough you have, this fits the So Simple Dinner Roll recipe perfectly.
Ingredients
- 2-3 cups small broccoli florets
- 1/2 bunch spring onions, chopped
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1 1/2 cups grated cheese
- Pepper
- 1 batch so simple dinner rolls, after the 10 min rest
Instructions
- Microwave the broccoli florets for 1-2 mins (depending on your microwave) until slightly softened.
- Add the spring onions, sour cream and cheese, stir to combine. Season to taste with pepper.
- Roll the dough out to large rectangle, about 1cm thick. Lay the filling down the middle and fold in all the edges.
- Lay seam side down on a lined baking tray and allow to rest for 40mins. Pre heat oven to 190C.
- Brush with milk and bake the stuffed bread for 30mins. Serve hot.
