My gorgeous sister in law, Marg asked if I fancied heading over the That Dapper Market with her. Of course I did! It was super busy but I managed to snap quite a few pics to give you an idea of what you might find there….
I snapped these lovely ladies at the Two Bit Villains soda stand. I had an amazing raspberry soda (which reminded me of the one I made) here – totally worthwhile, even though there was queue! Sarah (on the left) is also a tattooist at the Pink Flamingo Parlour!
I was very tempted by the cute, handmade, recycled toys and homewares at fleeci. This lady was so keen to buy this hooped fox, I caught her in action!
I’ve been on a candle buying binge and I had to hold myself back at Scarlett Bird! How sweet are these? If I had a dressing table, one of these would be on it.
Oh my did these smell uh-may-zing! I am thinking of buying the perfume in ‘Sleepy Lagoon’ from the Shanghai Lil & The Scarlet Fez online store. I am still sniffing the spray card I brought home.
In The Moment Ceramics had all sorts of vintage bits and bobs. I was keen to buy a vintage knitting bag but was beaten by another market goer….I’m sure to find another one. Marg bought a tweedy jacket for a Dr Who costume for a very reasonable $15. I tried to snap a pic but it was waaay to crowded and I forgot to get one when we got home.
I loved these beautiful finished cushion covers at the Homemade by Harriet stall. We could not resist touching the green animals….
So much yum at The Vegan Tart stall. The coconut cream pie was calling my name but no sweeties before dinner!
This stall, Have you met Charlie? is a collaborative Pop-Up shop created by Mintcloud and Coloured Pears, part of the Do Stop Buy Renew Adelaide Project. Both Marg and I bought things from here.
Marg bought the typewriter brooches and white rabbit earrings & I bought the foxy brooch for Mummy Ask and the glittery bunnies for myself. Marg was actually wearing a brooch she bought from the same stall at an earlier market!
There was so much more but it’s super awkward to take pics in a very busy market! There was plenty of vintage clothes, handmade retro clothes, more jewelry and lots of food! There were several stalls selling vegan/gluten free desserts, gourmet hotdogs, bento boxes and vegan/vegetarian burgers, ciders and craft beers! We hit Burger Republic on the way home and grabbed dinner to go for ourselves and Mr Ask. I grabbed a veggie burger with crumbed mushrooms and it was cheesebugers for Marg & Mr Ask. The burgers were awesome and the onion rings were to die for!
I had a fantastic time and I would recommend this market! I think the afternoon evening time is really good if you work on the weekends. It’s also a nice social time, hit the market with friends and eat some of the lovely food on offer and then catch up over a few drinks. As the pic says, you can find future dates on the That Dapper Market facebook page. You can read about other markets I’ve been to here. If you have an Adelaide market you think I should check out, just let me know in comments xxx
