This is the second post in the photo tour, if you want to check out the rest you can find them here. Plus a post about her motivation to renovate and how the house was before here. This is very indulgent and if I had any space, I’d have this! Mummy Ask is a gal on her own that wasn’t using the two spare bedrooms at all really. Pre renovation one was a guest bed with a queen bed and the other was an office. This idea came from Sister-in-law Ask, she said that she would be selfish with the space and have a closet. It was me who picked the Elfa system – it’s flexible in that you can change a hanging rod to a shoe rack in seconds but you can unscrew it and take it with you. It’s so sexy and reminds me of the movie American Psycho lol.

There are some changes that are all the way throughout – new paint, new carpet, new blinds and various electrical changes. Mummy Ask was so happy with a her tradies but the painter Bryan Mears gets a special mention! So many chats, decisions and jokes made over tea and biscuits (or if he was lucky a cake made at my house). He made the harshness of having your life upside down quite pleasurable and did some work at my house too. The electricians Paul & Carl from Ampelec (who also did some work for me) were also great to work with. We found them and Bryan through The Whoot and it was a conincidence that Bryan and Paul knew each other, so they worked around each other easily. There were times when there was three or so tradies here and they would need to get in each others way, so it was great that the relationships were good and they could accomadate each other. So we would definately reccommend the mentioned tradies, they were all lovely people who did a great, profesional job. I have a list of where to buys at the bottom & you can check out her inspiration board on Pinterest too.
So this is the Daddy Ask made dresser mentioned here. It was painted by our lovely painter Bryan Mears in an enamel version of the grey paint featured in the bedroom post. And of course there is some shoe storage too.
This area has little spaces for accessories and houses things like swimsuits and singlets.
Plenty of storage space up the top too.
Long and short hanging over here
And a sort of 360 degree panorama……
