Summary: Who doesn’t loved crumbed things? Crispy, golden, crunchy coating. It’s awesome and you know it! These zucchini sticks are not only covered in crispy crumb coating, they are an amazing textural combo. Both a crisp and crunchy but also a little soft and squishy. You gotta try ’em!
Ingredients
- 6 zucchinis, cut into sticks
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 tblsp chicken stock powder (Massell brand is vego)
- 2 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tblsp garlic powder
- 1 tblsp onion powder
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 2 tsp celery powder
- 1 tsp ground pepper
- 1 tsp dry mustard
- 1/4 tsp chilli powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 2 tblsp plain flour
- 2 tblsp dried breadcrumbs
Instructions
- Pre heat a deep fryer or pot of oil to 170C.
- Add everything except the zucchini and egg to a bowl and mix well to create the crumb coating.
- Dip each stick in the egg and then press into the crumb mix and coat well. Dip the coated stick back in the egg and coat with the crumb mix again. Repeat until all zucchini sticks are coated.
- Fry in the oil till golden brown, about four minutes. Drain on paper towel.
- Serve hot with a dipping sauce of your choice. I like ranch dressing or tomato relish.
