Summary: This is just amazing and I cannot stop drinking it! Add cordial to taste and top with water or sparkling water.
Ingredients
- 1 kg castor sugar
- 1 litre boiling water
- 1 tblsp citric acid (from baking isle in supermarket)
- 2 cups fresh lemon juice, strained
- Zest of 3 lemons
Instructions
- Add the sugar and boiling water to a large saucepan and stir until sugar is completely dissolved, you may need to heat the saucepan on low to achieve it.
- Add citric acid and zest, stir well and allow to cool. Add lemon juice and stir.
- Store in a sterilized bottles or in my case my trusty Tupperware jug. Store in the fridge.
- Makes 2 litres.
