Summary: The perfect side dish for any pork meal. I could eat this anytime and any meal, so don’t just stick to pork. This would make a great topping for puff pastry cocktail nibbles.
Ingredients
- 70g butter
- 4 green apples, peeled and cored
- 4 onions, sliced
- 2 tblsp brown sugar
- 100g fetta, crumbled
Instructions
- Add the butter to a large fry pan. Add the brown sugar and onions to the pan, using your fingers to separate the rings.
- Cook on a low to medium heat for about 15 mins, stirring occasionally. Slice the apples while the onions are cooking.
- Once the apples are brown and starting to caramelize, add the apples to the pan, on top of the onions. Cover and cook for another 5mins or until apples are tender.
- Stir apples through the onions and sprinkle with fetta before serving.
