Recipe: Perfect Nutty Granola

Summary: Delish toasted muesli with your fave ingerdients

Ingredients

  • 3 cups rolled oats
  • 2/3 cup almonds, roughly chopped
  • 2/3 cup hazelnuts, roughly chopped
  • 2/3 cup brazil nuts, roughly chopped
  • 3 tblsp sesame seeds
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup dried apricots, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 170 deg C.
  2. Mix the oats, sesame seeds, almonds and nuts in a bowl.
  3. Combine the syrup, oil, vanilla and cinnamon.
  4. Mix with the oat and nut mixture. Stir well.
  5. Spread evenly in a thin layer on a large, flat baking tray.
  6. Bake for 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
  7. After 30 minutes, turn the oven off and let the granola sit in the oven until completely cooled.
  8. Stir in apricots. Store in an airtight container.

Quick Notes

Serve with milk or yoghurt.

Variations

You can substitute different nuts, seeds or dried fruits to suit your tastes. You can swap the some of the seeds or nuts for coconut. The combinations are endless.
