Recipe: Perfect Pizza Dough

Summary: I know so many people frightened of yeast. This is so wondrously easy and can be frozen for another day too. I use my mixer to keep it easy but you can use a bread maker to do the kneading or your very own hands.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups plain flour
  • 1 (7g) sachet of dry yeast
  • 1 tsp caster sugar
  • 1 tsp coarse salt
  • 2 tblsp olive oil
  • 3/4 cup warm water

Instructions

  1. Add everything to the mixer bowl, dry ingredients first, then wet.
  2. Use the dough hook to knead until you have a soft, elastic dough ball. Add a touch more flour if the mix is too wet. If kneading by hand, do this on a floured bench or board.
  3. Cover the bowl with cling wrap and allow to rest in a warm spot for 30mins or until doubled in size.
  4. Once the dough has risen, knock it back and knead for a minute or two. Then roll, stretch or pat onto a tray and topping.
