Recipe: Quick Mix Scone Bread

Summary: The perfect accompaniment to soups

Ingredients

  • 2 cups self raising flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup good quality mayo
  • 1 tsp salt Garlic olive oil or 2 tblsp melted butter

Instructions

  1. Pre heat the oven to 220 deg C.
  2. Mix everything except the oil or butter.
  3. Once everything is well combined, transfer to a greased cake tin.
  4. Drizzle the oil or butter over the top and bake for 25-35 mins or until a skewer comes out clean.

Variations

You can add any fresh or dried herbs or garlic or spices to the mix if you wish.

You can bake this in muffin tins for individual breads (reduce cooking time to 15 mins).
