Summary: I know it’s a slightly fancy name for what is a spicy tomato cream sauce. Arrabbiata is Italian for angry or enraged and this sauce is fiery! I have strayed from the original, I hope you forgive me.
Ingredients
- 2 tblsp olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 410g tin crushed tomatoes
- 1 red chilli, finely sliced
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 100ml cream
- Salt, to taste
Instructions
- Add the oil, garlic and onion to a large frypan and fry for a few minutes, until softened and turning translucent.
- Add the tomatoes, oregano and chilli and cook for 10-20 mins. The sauce should look thicker and slightly darker.
- Add the cream and stir well. Add your choice of pasta to your sauce and serve with Parmesan.
