Summary: Ugly pic but a fab recipe. The vegos in this house make the sauce for eating on pizza, stiry fry or hot chips
Ingredients
- 1.5kg pork spare ribs, cut into individual ribs
- 2 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup white vinegar
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1/3 cup hot chili sauce
- 1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 1 lemon juiced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 tsp hot english mustard
- 2 cloves crushed garlic
Instructions
- Add everything (except ribs) to a saucepan and stir well, cook over a low heat, uncovered for 30mins to reduce. You really need this step but this sauce can be doubled and freezes well.
- Add your ribs to the slow cooker and cover with sauce. Cook for 6-8hrs on low or 4ish on high until very tender.
Quick notes
If you want heaps of sauce or want to cook more ribs, double the sauce. It will keep in the fridge for a week or 3mths in the freezer
