I’m all out of whack this week. Mr Ask has had some holidays from work and we have had a lovely time. Nothing special, just chilling out at home. We took advantage of the lovely weather and took a drive along the cost, stopping for a drink and walk on the jetty. Other than that, I’ve just been tinkering with sewing projects.

- I spent some time trying to create a sewing pattern and Mr Ask kindly made a 3D model of it in Marvelous Designer so I could figure things out. It’s a pretty cool program, if you’re into that sort of thing.
- Did you hear they might be making a sequel to the Labyrinth?
- I’m getting ready for my Halloween post. I always get excited seeing the Halloween tutorials from the makeup vloggers I follow. It’s cool, it’s creepy and it’s fun to watch. Check out this creepy clown, poison ivy and this amazing peacock. The peacock is an older one but it’s amazing!
- I made a new skirt (tutorial coming soon) which was perfect for wearing with my new tees. I’m pretty excited because it’s the only skirt I have that looks good with tops tucked in. I just want to sew a heap more! In fact, I know I’ll sew a few more, they’re so quick to make.
- I am obsessed with various salads paired with hot chips as meal right now. I just can’t get enough! I’ve been making all sorts of salads lately. Chips and salad just seems so right together.
- I used a bunch of stitches on my sewing machine that I’ve not used before and tested out some new feet for my machine. It’s taken this long for me to start playing with all those fancy feet and pretty stitches. If you want to know what to do with all those feet that came with your machine, check this out.
- Mummy Ask bought me an Elna Mini sewing machine (currently on sale for $49 at Spotlight). It only has a few straight and zig zag stitches and a reverse button. It sewed perfectly when I tested it but I haven’t used it enough to give it a review. I think it’s pretty cool so far.
- Have you seen the free Guide To Sewing Hems from Colette Patterns? It’s an awesome resource with heaps of great info (it’s over 100 pages) and lots of pics to illustrate it. And it’s free! Cool, huh?
- Friday was my Dads Birthday, Happy Birthday Daddy-O! Hope you had a blast and I can’t wait to squeeze you in person!

Mr Ask is savoring his last day before heading back to work. We are pottering around making his (beef) and hers (vego) lasagna. I’m considering whipping up another skirt this arvo….. I can’t help it, they’re so quick and easy. Make sure you have a fabulous day xxx
