Not much happened this week. With both of us still sick, it’s been pretty low key. Of course I got my fringe cut and that was pretty exciting. I am loving the fringe but I’m so not used to seeing it. I’ve had a couple of moments where it’s messed with my depth perception, including a moment this morning that caused me to knock the teapot and it smashed. New fringe plus a lack of coffee equal more clumsy than usual. While I’ve been recovering, I decided to get organized for a few up coming projects. So my house looks like a freight depot with packages and project bags everywhere. I have all my projects mapped out in the planner, all the way to the middle of May! So today will be a big push to to get everything into some sort of order but until then, let’s see what the internet had to say for itself….
- This article made me laugh until I coughed! Such sage wisdom in a humorous shell…The subtle art of not giving a fuck.
- Why everyone needs to grow up about breastfeeding on planes. This is a well written article by an actual flight attendant, I think she nailed it.
- “Imagine if men were as disgusted with rape as they are with periods.” A German activist posts messages on menstrual pads.
- Ever wondered how glass headed pins are made? Wonder no more.
- Don’t forget that Castaway to Couture is happening! If you sew, we want see your entries and even if you don’t it would be lovely if you could share it and get the word out there!
- The Great British Sewing Bee is coming to an end. I’m so excited to see who wins this year. I love the Bee because you can see fab sewists make dumb mistakes and then I feel much more human. Blogs tend no to show their screw ups (well, I did here) and you can feel like the only person who has disasters!
- Speaking of watching stuff, I just loved The unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. I laughed/coughed myself through the first season this week.
Well, I’m off to put some clean sheets on the bed, fold a mountain of clean laundry and tidy my projects that are strewn around the the house. Mr Ask mentioned something about making waffles, so I might get lucky! Let me know if you have some great tv shows I should watch, being sick means I’ve seen everything! I hope you had a marvelous week and are putting your feet up today xxx
