As I mentioned in my tea cup pincushion post, I was manning the ASG stall at the Sewing, Stitching & Handcraft Show on Friday. I had a great time and somehow managed not to buy anything. Mummy Ask bought a hat from the Aldinga Spinners & Knitters. There was heaps to look at (and buy) and still time to get there if you fancy a look.
- We watched the movie ‘Her’ about a guy who falls in love with an operating system. Strange but good.
- I saw a fantastic series of BBC docos on the Secrets of Superbrands. They’re a few years old but still very interesting. There’s three – fashion, technology, food.
- We drove past the new Krispy Kreme store at 9pm last night, there was a huge line being managed by security, madness! The SA Police have reported traffic jams and donut muggings on their Facebook page. It was also reported on ABC news! I love Krispy Kremes but this is a huge fuss for donuts. Crazy, right?
- I saw this super cool tip for small eyes from Rae Morris, Australia’s top makeup artist. I’m going to give a try.
- We bought these sippy cups and have been using them all the time. I find I drink more water, which is good and you can put lemon slices in there too.
- Every sewing blogger I know struggles to get a good pic of themselves wearing what they have made. I laughed along with and loved this vid on getting out of your comfort zone from A Vintage Vanity! Her pics are wonderful too.
- I saw this Mia Wallace makeup tutorial, it was all going well until she mentioned that the Urban Decay palette she was using was in celebration of Pulp Fictions 20th Anniversary…..I felt very old all of a sudden!!
Of course I’ll be off to the supermarket today as usual. I hope you’re having a marvelous weekend xxx
