Natural Stainless Steel Cleaner
½ cup bicarb
A few squirts of a eco friendly dishwashing liquid
Mix the bicarb and soap together until you have a paste. Put some of the mix onto a sponge and scrub the stainless steel. Rinse well.
To bring the finish to a high shine put some white vinegar on a soft cloth and buff.
To Clean Your Kettle
I clean my kettle with lemon, cut it up into wedges and drop into the kettle, boil it and discard the water, hen re-boil with just water & discard it. Otherwise vinegar is great, 1/2 cup in a full kettle of water, boil it, dicard and then re-boil with just water & discard it.
To Clean your Iron Inside
Start with a cold iron. Half fill with vinegar and heat on a high steam setting. Steam an rag until empty.
To Clean the Soleplate of your Iron
Try using a nylon scrub cloth and vinegar to remove build up from a cold iron. If that’s not enough heat 3 parts vinegar to 1 part salt until the salt dissolves and use this solution to clean the build up. Wipe over with a clean, damp cloth before putting away.
