I noticed that some cream went off before it’s expiry and thought I’d check my fridge temperature. I have a handy thermometer that marks out the optimum temperature for the fridge and freezer.
So it turns out my fridge wasn’t cold enough (looks like the knob was knocked), which of course is quite dangerous. The number one cause of food poisoning is improperly stored food at home.
It’s worth checking from time to time , for food safety and energy efficiency.
The correct temperature for your fridge is 4-5 C and your freezer is best at -18C
