Okay, it’s nearly the end of January and I’m only just posting this now. But I only just decided to get a planner and decorate it. I also just discovered the awesomely cool Xyron Create-a-Sticker. Yes, a sticker maker! I really wanted little stickers for the public holidays etc but the only free printables I could find were American and didn’t really work. So I’ve included the following:
- Australia Day
- Adelaide Cup
- Easter x 3
- Queens Birthday
- Labour Day
- Anzac Day
- Xmas Eve
- Xmas Day
- Boxing Day
- Valentine’s Day
- Melbourne Cup
- Halloween
- Fathers Day
- Mothers Day
- New Years Eve
- Summer
- Winter
- Spring
- Autumn
- Clocks Forward
- Clocks Back
- Public Holiday
So, how do you make these stickers at home? Well, first click the image of the stickers above and save the file to your computer. It’s a JPEG file, so you can pate it into Word and resize it to suit you. I made it smaller.
Then there’s three ways to make it a sticker:
- Print it on to a sticker of single label per page label paper. Cut out and stick – easy!
- Print it on to plain paper or even photo paper and cut out and glue down with glue stick.
- Or my new favorite thing – use the Xyron sticker maker! Just print out the stickers, cut them to fit the machine and sticker them!
I’m so excited for the sticker maker! No, not getting paid for this post, I just love it. I have the Xyron 150 in animal print (they mostly come in blue, purple or pink), it make stickers up to 1.5″ wide and comes with a little over 6m of tape. You put a piece of paper (or card or whatever) in the chute, pull the roll of paper/sticky out the bottom, tear off the sticker. Just give it a rub and peel off! Here’s a video for the visual among us. You can get permanent and repositionable tapes for it and there are several other styles that make wider stickers. I picked mine up here for $13.50 and refills are $7.50. I know you want one! It’s just so cool! My inner 5 year old is so thrilled! Now go forth and make some stickers!
This is what the stickers look like when they’re in the planner. Apart from the cuteness factor, I love that the stickers draw the eye and alert you to what’s happening. It will really help me to organize any occasional or holiday blog posts in advance. Plus I never seem to know when exactly the seasons change or daylight savings stops and starts. You don’t even need a planner, these are great for regular diaries too. If you use these printables or if you get a Xyron, let me know! Send me pics of facebook or instagram xxx
