If you have spilt something, clean it properly first and then….
Dampen the affected areas if they have dried (make sure you go a little over the ‘edge’ of the mark) and gently work some bicarb soda into the area and then cover the area with a generous layer of bicarb.
You may want to cover this with a mat or old towel to avoid bicarb footprints everywhere!
Leave until completely dry (about 12hr or more) and vacuum up the bicarb. If it’s still smelly use a spray bottle to spritz white vinegar over the mark. Vinegar will help remove the smell but if you repeat the bicarb they will interact and bubble which will help to remove any residual smells.
