If you are anything like me you have a cupboard or drawer full off baking tins, in all shapes and sizes, that are in a haphazard stack. I had a cupboard full of baking tins plus another 8 tins that I stored in my oven and had to move them EVERY time I used the oven. Space is at such a premium here and I NEED all of those tins, none could be tossed in a declutter – so what to do? How do you store spring form tins, loose bottom tart tins in with muffin tins, loaf tins and the awkward bundt tin?
The Plate Rack
Oh, the space that has been saved with this one! You can buy all sorts of plate racks and office file holders with slots like this. A few examples are this, this and this. There are even some that are adjustable to your kitchen. I found that this one had nice wide slots for deep muffin tins and you can fit a few thinner slice and lamington tins in one slot. This method is great because you can easily grab a tin AND fit it back in when you are done. But what about individual tins and that Bundt?
The Baking Tray Drawer
I rarely use my well loved 70’s Pyrex dish as it make lasagne for 3,000 but I’d hate to get rid of it. So it has become a drawer of sorts that houses the small and the awkward tins. Bonus is that it all comes out as one so I can access the back of the corner cupboard.
Now, I know that these are simple solutions but this is a solution I have needed for a loooong time! Nothing is permanent, so it’s perfect if you rent and works in any size cupboard, even my doll house ones. So grab your tape measure, size up your cupboards and get organised xxx
