I’m sure you all remember me telling how much I love the Australian Sewing Guild (ASG), the Fringe Launch Party we went to and the oodles of bunting that we stitched up. Well, now I’d like to invite to the Fringe event we are holding! It’s free, fabulous and of course I’ll be there if you’d like to say Hi in person. I would love you to come along and see what we get up to!
Whether you are jelly about those who sew or you’ve already been stung by the needle, the ASG Opens it’s Seams is the event for you! Watch us put needle to fabric in all manner of ways, have a good rummage through patterns, notions and fabric for sale and meet a bunch of people with thread running in their veins. And if you have that sewing question, there’s never been a better chance to ask it! Made something and want some constructive criticism? Well then, bring it along! The Australian Sewing Guild offers so much, whatever you like to sew. We sew vintage, retro, kids, bridal, embroidery, historical, refashions and most of all for ourselves! Guilds have been around since the middle ages, these artisan groups were formed to share knowledge with their members and The ASG is dedicated to this tradition. Take advantage of our collected wisdom! If you thought you didn’t know enough about sewing or didn’t sew well enough to join the ASG, I can tell, you couldn’t be more wrong! Come and meet the Plympton team and see how sweet sewing can be!
