Tip: Rust Rings from Cans

I hate it when a hairspray or air freshener can is left on a surface and leaves a rusty ring on the bathroom bench. I also hate it when Mr Ask leaves the shaving foam can on the edge of the bath and leaves a rusty mess.

So to clean rusty marks from almost any surface, spray with vinegar and add a teaspoon or two of bicarb to a damp sponge and scrub. Old pantyhose (balled up instead of a sponge) work well for this and cleaning the bath too.

To PREVENT these marks, seal the rim of the can base with clear nail polish.I know it seems fidly but is worth it if you routinely leave a can out in a damp area xx
