Me Made May is the highlight of the sewing year! I find it so energizing to really think about what I have made and how I wear it, I helps me to really appreciate all the things I’ve made. There are lots of old favourites you might have seen in previous years and of course a few new items.
As always, I have included the weather because that’s a huge factor in what I wear. Adelaide is know for it’s scorching summers and autumn is always a rude shock! April is all crisp mornings and warm, sunny afternoons but May seems so cold! In past years I would say what my plans for the day were but I’ve decided that is way too boring, so I dropped that this year. Instead, I’ve added info about the purchased elements of my outfits. That way, if you like something you know where to find it!
On of the things I love about Me Made May is seeing what other people have made and the slight voyeurism of how they wear it in the context of their lives. I see all these strikingly composed outfits! I get so much inspiration from those that choose to post pics. So much fascinating info about patterns and fabric choice and how they fit together. If planning on making a certain pattern, it’s great to see how it looks on other people and learn from others work. You see it’s wonderful to see all the non bloggers that share for MMM.
